Quick Bio

Sally Garner is a multidisciplinary fiber artist. She received her MFA for Studio Art, Textiles at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia and has a BFA in sculpture from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. During her time there, she realized that her installation artwork could be driven by her craft of crocheting. Now, she creates thoughtful textile sculptures that react to the idea of a future after humans interfere with nature, disturbing its already delicate ecosystems. Her current focus is on weaving, papermaking, basketry, and site-specific installations.
